Keeping Busy in Saskatoon

I had a great time shooting this video.  I learned a lot about what it takes to make a video. I was typing up my script on my iPad on a flight and the person I was sitting beside me, asked me if I was a famous writer.  I responded "not yet."  

This video did not go without some hitches.

I was trying to get a shot of a plane landing at the Saskatoon airport, so I was on a side road, staring at an open field.  The sign did say "Restricted Area" but I thought that may have meant the field.  It did not.  I was confronted by a security person who asked me what I was doing.  Rather than explain that I was shooting a video for this class, I told her I was listening to a news report.  She left me alone and I drove away.

I realize that the video is somewhat "robotic."  The voices were created on a website-Voki.   

Shot Selection Assignment 2

This was somewhat of a tough assignment for me because of the talent that I was using.  I had to shoot this over a number of days and let's just say that the boys were somewhat uncooperative at times.  I ended up going over budget with this assignment, having to purchase two Skylanders.

I went for shots and not quality obviously.  I do have a bit of a story but when you are working with a 6 and 4 year old, it is tough for them to do lines-so there is some ad lib.  

There are two videos-one contains the majority of the shots (I had all of them at one time).  I am not sure how they were erased.  I gave the oldest boy the video camera as a bribe on one of the days to shoot random things.  I guess I must have erased some of my shots.  Be that as it may, I had to add them to the second assignment.
